Bounty Lakes offers the prospect of plenty of action from excellently conditioned, hard

fighting Carp, Grass Carp and Catfish. In addition  we also have specimen Roach and Bream.

The Carp

Both lakes are well stocked with Mirror and Common Carp. Typically catch rates are good and you’ll get plenty of action from stock fish from 15-30lbs with a good chance of a 30+fish and the occasional bigger fish too.

Bounty 1 - The best Carp to date have been Commons to 38lbs and Mirrors to 42lbs.

Bounty 2 - This lake has a good original stock of carp of all sizes including some singles, doubles, 20’s and 30’s. The best Carp in 2007 was a 36lb Common and we have some stunning fully scaled Mirrors to 30lbs. For 2008 we have also added a further 30 fish from 26 to 48lbs over half being 30+.

The Grassies

We have a good head of Grass Carp the average weight in Bounty 1 now being in excess of 30lbs and the biggest to date caught at 39 lbs. These are stunning fish and they go ballistic!, especially near the net so please be careful. If you have never caught or handled Grass Carp please ask for advice...they can be tricky.

Bounty 2 also offers Grass Carp to 30lbs.

The Catfish

Bounty 1 has a superb Catfish reputation and is featured in Catfish Pro’s - Passport to Catfishing  DVD.

If you want to target Cats or perhaps catch Carp with the chance of a Mega Cat - Bounty is the place!  

A typical week will see Catfish on the bank with a good head of fish in the 20 to 50lbs class

in both lakes. Bounty 1 boasts a good stock of bigger fish from 50 to 70lbs plus at least

10 known bigger Cats. The venue record from Bounty 1 is a whopping 106 lbs!

Bounty 2 also has a good head of Cats, the average weight is smaller than Bounty 1, but Cats

have been caught to 55lbs and for 2008 we are adding further fish to to 80lbs. A Catfish has

Also been seen this Spring estimated at 100lbs......perhaps you’ll be the first to catch it.

We allow live-baiting on both lakes although the Cats will take all types of Carp bait.
